Diazinon is an extern anti-parasitic that belongs to the organophosphates group that inhibits the cholinesterase of the parasite. It is active against: Fleas: Ctenocephalides cans, C. felis and Pulex irritans. Ticks: Dermocentor variabilis, Otobius megnini and Rhipicephalus sanguineous. The active substance is slowly released from the surface of the collar and deposits on the animal’s fur where it comes into contact with the parasites. Fleas die within a few hours and ticks die in five days.
INDICATIONS:
External parasitosis produced by the above mentioned fleas. Prevention from the infestations produced by the above mentioned ticks.
TARGET SPECIES: Dogs
INSTRUCTIONS:
Place the collar loosely around the animal’s neck (there should be enough space for two fingers between the collar and neck) and cut off the remaining length. It should not be used as a restraining collar. To ensure continued anti-parasitic action the collar should be worn permanently. Once it has been taken out of its original packaging it remains active for 4 months.
The bag containing the collar should only be opened when the collar is going to be placed on the animal. The collar should not be bitten by the animal. Greyhound and Wippet breeds are especially sensible to cholinesterase inhibitors.
